Heritage and perfection on 2-wheels.

New Life for DUCATI Super Sport.

The beloved air-cooled, 2-valve, L-twin DUCATI Super Sport is likely to emerge again with two new sets of clothes. One reflects the edgy folds inspired by the Company’s latest super bikes. The other is a tailored retro look that resurrects the Pantah of the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.

>Italian designer Oberdan Bezzi's new edgey look offers a modern rebirth for the much loved Super Sport.

Race Winning Heritage.

ImageThe DUCATI Super Sport (SS) is the Italian company’s notable motorcycle that achieved the Tourist Trophy win on the Isle of Man in the capable hands of British rider, Mike ‘The Bike’ Hailwood in 1978. This was DUCATI’s first world championship win.

> British racer, Mike Hailwood won Ducati's first notable World Championship, the 1978 Isle of Mann paving the way for evolution of the belt-driven DUCATI 900 Super Sport and pantah styling of 1980.

The Super Sport (SS) was DUCATI’s longest running production bike before the introduction of the Monster that has become unrivaled as the most-selling DUCATI model of the past decade. The Super Sport is beloved my many, me included, as a great all-around Ducati that is street smart, mountain ready, and capable of winning races on the track so long as it is not out-classed with latest crop of 4-cylinder Liter bikes.
